Starting March 7, at 7 p.m., the "Star" of every aspiring singer in Taguig will shine bright with the launching of the "Friday Talent" Nights or FT Nights, an amateur singing contest designed to tap homegrown talents who can be superstars in the recording industry in the future. The singing contest will make the rounds of the 18 barangays of Taguig up to Dec. 10, capped by a grand finals where winning contestants, representing each barangay will pit talents to garner the coveted prize as champion.
FT Nights will kick off at Plaza 9, Zone 1, at Brgy. Signal Village, in a colorful launching, a brainchild of Taguig Mayor Freddie Tinga, who is determined to open doors of opportunities that await singing talents in Taguig that need to be discovered.
The contest is open to all ages. Cash prizes and other mementos await the winners.
FT Nights is a collaborative effort of the municipal governments Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office under Zenon Licayan, Barangay Affairs Office under Ric Jordan, Special Projects Coordinators, General Services Office and the Public Information Office.
