Drilon, 40, a resident of 14 Timex street in Fairview, suffered a bruised forehead and was treated at a nearby hospital. She was discharged the same night.
Her vehicle was hit by a white Mitsubishi Pajero driven by Dante Luarez, 50. The Pajero (SEU401) was reportedly registered to the National Power Corp. (Napocor).
According to traffic investigators, the incident happened at about 11:45 p.m. along Commonwealth Avenue near the Commission of Human Rights building.
Reports showed that Drilon had just gassed up her brand new CRV and was cruising along Commonwealth when the Pajero, which was moving at a very high speed, suddenly lost control and crashed into the left rear of Drilons vehicle.
Police said Drilon hit her head either on the steering wheel or the dashboard because of the impact. The damage to her vehicle was estimated at over P100,000.
Luarez said that the said area in Commonwealth Avenue was "very dark" and he did not notice Drilons CRV in front of him. Matthew Estabillo
