Muntinlupa fire razes 15 homes

A fire razed some 15 shanties and destroyed an estimated P300,000 worth of property yesterday morning in Muntinlupa City.
There were no reported injuries or casualties in the incident in Purok 5, Barangay Cupang.
Initial investigation showed the fire began at 9:08 am. Reports reaching the city fire department indicated that a certain Vincent de la Cruz was playing with a lighter and ended up starting the fire.
However, the report did not mention how old De la Cruz was, his whereabouts, and if the fire was intentional or not.
The fire, which reached the fifth alarm, quickly spread as the shanties were made of flammable materials. The fire was declared out at 10:08 am. Nikko Dizon
