-
Bad stares led to the death of a man and the injury of another in two separate incidents yesterday.

The first incident took place at around 4 a.m. yesterday inside the basketball court of the Joaquin Compound in Alabang, Muntinlupa City wherein the victim who was identified as Efren Amparo, a 34-year-old jobless man from Guinayangan, Quezon, was stabbed several times in the body.

Senior Superintendent Erasto Sanchez, chief of police of Muntinlupa City said that the victim was rushed to the Alabang Medical Clinic where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to witnesses, the victim had a heated argument with the suspect Ariel Gayo, a resident of the compound when they saw each other on the basketball court. The witnesses heard the suspect asking Amparo why he was staring at him which led to the heated argument. Without warning, the suspect drew out a hunting knife and stabbed Amparo several times in the body.

In Makati City, a businessman was threatened and injured by two unknown suspects who identified themselves as agents of the National Bureau of Investigation.

Joseph Server, a resident of Cadena de Amor, Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City, told the Makati Police that the two men threatened him with a gun and used the weapon to hit him on his head.

PO2 John Ramirez of the Makati Police said the incident took place at around 4 a.m. yesterday in front of the Peps bar along Pasay Road in the Central Business District.

The suspects saw Server looking at them and approached him in an intimidating manner. They confronted Server about his "stares," pulled out a gun and poked it on his face. Marvin Sy
