Parade of Stars

-
Fans of local cinema gathered along Roxas Boulevard all the way to the Quirino Grandstand in Manila yesterday to witness the Metro Manila Film Festival 2002 Parade. A motorcade of government and local officials joined movie stars, who were onboard colorful floats, the highlight of the traditional parade.

There are nine entries to this year’s film festival, namely: Mano Po; Home Alone Da Riber, Hula Mo, Huli Ko, Lapu-Lapu; Agimat ni Lolo; Dekada 70; Alamat ng Lawin; Spirit Warriors; and Lastikman.

The Gabi ng Parangal will be held on Friday. Photos show (clockwise from top left) MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando, Tourism Secretary Richard Gordon and Caloocan City Mayor Rey Malonzo; VRB Chairman Bong Revilla and the cast of Agimat; Kris Aquino, Eddie Garcia and Ara Mina from Mano Po; the dragon float for the Regal Films entry Mano Po; and Lito Lapid and Joyce Jimenez and the cast of Lapu-Lapu.
