Lesbian hangs self

A 27-year-old lesbian hanged herself yesterday morning after a fight with her lover inside their house in Barangay Bago Bantay, Quezon City.

Victim Catherine Gallanido, tricycle driver, and a resident of 55 Nueva Vizcaya St., Bago Bantay, was found hanging with a nylon cord tied around her neck.

Investigators said that the victim had a fight with her live-in partner Elizabeth de Jose yesterday inside their house. At the height of the argument, Gallanido threatened to kill herself.

At about 10:30 a.m., De Jesus found the victim hanging inside their bathroom at the steel shower with an electrical cord looped around her neck. She was rushed to the JP Sioson Hospital but was declared dead on arrival a few hours later.

Operatives of the Central Police District are now conducting follow-up operations on the case to make sure that no foul play was involved. – Matthew Estabillo
