Traffic re-routing advisory
December 15, 2002 | 12:00am
From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow, the following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic:
Northbound and southbound lanes of Roxas Boulevard from T.M. Kalaw Street to Pres. Quirino Avenue; and
M.H. Del Pilar Street from Pedro Gil Street to Pres. Quirino Avenue;
All motorists are advised to take the following alternate routes:
Northbound, from Roxas Boulevard, vehicles should turn right at Pres. Quirino Avenue then turn left at either A. Mabini Street or Taft Avenue;
Southbound vehicles, from A. Bonifacio Drive, should turn left at T.M. Kalaw Avenue then turn right at either J. Bocobo Street or Taft Avenue;
Those taking J. Bocobo Street should turn right at Padre Faura Street then turn left at M. Adriatico Street.
The road closures and traffic re-routing scheme are being implemented due to the switching on of the new Roxas Boulevard colored lights across the new Rajah Sulayman Park in front of Malate Church at 6 p.m., to be led by President Arroyo. The event will be followed by a free concert by the Society of Seven and a fireworks display.
