Arraignment of QC bus bomber deferred

The scheduled arraignment of the suspect in the Oct. 18 bus bombing in Balintawak was postponed yesterday after a Quezon City Regional Trial Court judge granted the motion of the prosecution to amend the information filed against the accused.
The arraignment of Jerry Minalang, 37, a resident of 10-B Sapang Bato, Bagong Bayan, Libis, was reset to Jan. 6.
Judge Monina Zenarosa of Branch 76 also granted a motion for the medical examination by Minalang, who claimed he was subjected to torture while undergoing custodial investigation by operatives of the Western Police District following his arrest on Oct. 24. Pia Lee-Brago
