4 drug dealers nabbed in Manila

Four suspected big-time drug traffickers, including a Chinese national, were arrested by police anti-narcotics agents in Manila last Saturday.

More than P1 million worth of shabu were seized during the first operation conducted against Tan Wei Li, 40, a native of Fukien, China; Ameril Andamen, 30, of 441 Nepomuceno Street, Quiapo; and Usop Abdulkader, 31, of 441 Nepomuceno Street.

Tan, Andamen and Abdulkader were nabbed by the police at around 4 p.m. shortly after they delivered a kilo of shabu to a police agent along T. Alonzo Street in Manila last Saturday.

Police also seized a white Mitsubishi Lancer used by the suspects in their illegal operation.

In another operation, a 35-year old man identified as Ibrahim Ampuan was also arrested by the police for transporting some 400 grams of shabu from Manila to Iligan City.

Ampuan was nabbed by authorities led by police and agents of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) at the vicinity of Pier 2, South Harbor in Manila.

Police said Ampuan‘s blue bag yielded 400 grams of shabu following an inspection before boarding a ship bound for Iligan City. Christina Mendez
