Letter bomb intercepted

A suspected letter bomb was intercepted at the Myanmar Embassy in Makati City yesterday, police said.

A bomb squad defused the letter bomb, which appeared to be a musical birthday greeting card with wirings and a blasting cap, police said. The return address was Bangkok, Thailand.

The Myanmar embassy could not be reached for comment. – AFP
