Your best friends can turn out to be your worst enemies.
A 19-year-old factory worker was shot dead by one of his two neighborhood friends the other night in Navotas because of an old grudge, police said yesterday.
Henry Sarino of Sitio Sto. Niño, North Bay Boulevard, Navotas succumbed to a gunshot wound on the chest. Police arrested one suspect identified as Jojo Pamplina, 22. The other suspect remained at large.
Investigation showed the shooting happened at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday as the victim was walking along Road 10 near the Manila-Navotas boundary on his way home.
PO3 Eric Roxas said the suspects emerged from a dark portion of the highway and without provocation, shot the victim.
The suspects fled the scene but responding policemen cornered Pamplina after a brief chase. The police are still hunting down the other suspect. Jerry Botial
