QC trader robbed in Caloocan

-
A Quezon City businessman lost some P200,000 in cash and valuables to four unidentified motorcycle-riding armed men last Saturday in Caloocan City.

Police identified the victim as Ramy Suares, 40, owner of RGS Painting Service located at 15 Road 16, Barangay Bahay Toro, Quezon City.

The victim was aboard his Tamaraw FX with his wife and secretary when four armed men riding in motorcycles reportedly waylaid them along Caimito Road in Caloocan City at about 5:10 p.m.

The suspects, at gunpoint, divested Judith Maligaya of her shoulder bag containing P195,500 in cash, a cellular phone and other valuables and immediately escaped on their motorcycles.

Suares sought assistance from a nearby police station but the suspects had already fled.

The responding police team composed of PO1s Jerry dela Torre, Rommel Habig and Perceval Baldemero, recovered from the crime scene a caliber .45 bullet which, according to the victims, fell from one of the suspects’ gun when they tried to shoot them.

A follow-up operation by the Caloocan City police was conducted for the possible apprehension of the suspects. –Pete Laude
