Poverty drives woman to suicide

Depressed over her inability to raise enough money to go home, a 35-year-old woman took her own life in Taguig yesterday.
The victim was identified as Alma Rivera.
Based on the investigation of SPO2 Reggie Gapasin of the Taguig Criminal Investigation Division, the victim was found hanging from the ceiling of the toilet at 1:30 p.m. at a house in Barangay Bagong Tanyag, Taguig.
Investigators said the victim could not come up with enough money to pay for her fare to go home to her province. Several packed bags belonging to the victim were found in the room. Marvin Sy
