At least three ex-employees of a security agency allegedly shot dead their former boss in Quezon City Sunday night during a scuffle after he terminated their employment, the police said.
Victim Virgilio Adonis, 50, general manager of Supermerchant Security Agency, a resident of Isaiah Avenue, San Roque, Cubao, suffered a bullet wound in the eye and died on the spot.
The assailants, reportedly ex-employees of the security agency, fled after the shooting. They used Adoniss licensed firearm in the killing.
Sources said that the victim fired the suspects a few weeks ago for "personal reasons".
Investigators said that the incident took place at about 6:50 p.m. in front of the security agency located near Adoniss home in San Roque, Cubao.
The victim was apparently on his way home from work when the suspects suddenly blocked his path. A heated altercation followed and before long, a fist fight ensued.
Adonis then pulled out his gun and fired at the three men, but his shot went haywire and instead hit and shattered a window pane of the agency building.
The killers ganged up on the victim and grabbed the gun away from him. One of the men shot him in the left eye and he collapsed on the ground. He died instantly.
Operatives of the Central Police District are trying to determine the killers identities.
Meanwhile, three brothers stabbed dead a 32 year-old family friend during a drinking session near his house in Barangay Capri, Quezon City Sunday night.
Victim Marlon Susano, a resident of Sampaguita Street, Capri, sustained multiple stab wound in the body and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Bernardino Hospital.
Police arrested one of the three killers, identified as Jose Rico Terrado, 30, a neighbor and family friend of the victim. His younger brothers Gallen, 22, and Larry, 21, were able to escape.
Investigators said that Susano and the assailants were having a drinking spree near the victims home at about 10 p.m. when a heated altercation ensued between him and Gallen.
