JoeCon wins anew in posh Forbes Park

In an overwhelming show of support, Barangay Forbes Park voters reelected Barangay Chairman Jose "JoeCon" Concepcion Jr. over his nearest rival Enrique Lagdameo, garnering 865 votes as against the latter’s 538, a press statement said yesterday.

The statement said seven kagawads in Concepcion’s ticket also won by a landslide. In order of votes received, the winning kagawads were identified as Rosanna Fores (956), Rey Alejandro (942), Victorina "Chichi" Laperal (935), Menchu Soriano (874), Felix "Lito" Mabanta (819), Fortunato "Bong" Lansang (750), and Janneth Escarlan (736). Lansang and Escarlan are from the employee community in Forbes Park.

This is the first time that two members of the household community are now represented in the Barangay Council, which is part of Concepcion’s program of building "bayanihan" in the community, the statement said. – Sandy Araneta
