Fire destroys P8 million property in San Juan

A fire of unknown origin hit the house of a businesswoman in San Juan destroying property estimated at P8 million.
Fire prober Domingo Cabog, of the San Juan Fire Department said Prescilla Lorenzo, was sound asleep when the fire broke out at the ceiling of their house located at 154 Wilson St., Barangay Additions Hills at about 4:20 a.m. the other day.
Thick smoke seeping into their rooms roused Lorenzo, her children and their househelps prompting them to rush out taking along some of their personal belongings. The victims husband is presently out of the country.
Cabog said strong winds fanned the fire toward two adjacent rooms in Lorenzos house.
Lorenzo and her family and responding neighbors tried to put out the fire but failed. Nobody was reported injured.
Cabog said the San Juan fire department rushed to the scene at 4.:59 a.m. and battled the fire until it was tapped out five minutes. Non Alquitran
