Sex workers caught in the act

Five women, two of them caught having sex with their customers were arrested in Sampaloc, Manila before dawn yesterday.

Raided was the alleged prostitution den at 2322 Algeciras st., Sampaloc, Manila. Authorities failed to identify the owners and maintainers of the establishment.

SPO4 Vic Batara of the Special Operations Group of the Western Police District said they conducted the raid following reports of prostitution in the area.

At around 3 a.m. Wednesday, Batara said an undercover agent was sent to the establishment to arrange a deal with the women, one of whom agreed to have sex with him.

After receiving the signal from the agent, Batara and his men swooped down on the establishment. Another alleged commercial sex worker was also caught having sex with a male customer.

Batara said appropriate charges would be filed against the women, who are now detained at the SOG detention cell. – Cecille Suerte Felipe
