Beautician stabbed 33 times

A male beautician was brutally killed yesterday morning by still unknown assailants in Payatas, Quezon City.

Police Officer 1 Joel Gagaza of the Central Police District-Criminal Investigation Unit described the victim to be between 25 to 30 years old, about 5’4" to 5’5" in height, with brown complexion, and wearing a white shirt, jogging pants and slippers. Residents found him soaked in his own blood at around 8 a.m. at B.F. Compound, Group 9, Payatas B in Payatas.

Based on the police report, the victim sustained 30 stab wounds and bore numerous bruises in the face. The victim also had three inches of talahib stalks stuffed in his mouth, which, police said, could be an indication that the victim went through intense torture from the suspect or suspects.

During the initial investigation, authorities learned the victim was a manicurist-beautician in the place.

CPD probers are now pursuing a revenge angle as the motive for the brutal death of the victim due to the many stab wounds in his body.

Meanwhile, a 43-year-old service manager of a motorshop was shot dead Thursday night by a hired killer in Quezon City, the police said.

Police identified the fatality as Rafael Carrao of Excel Motors and a resident of Araullo street in Bacood Sta. Mesa in Manila. He was declared dead on the spot due to a fatal gunshot wound in the left portion of his head. –Katherine Adraneda
