Chinatown Lions club

The Manila Chinatown Lions Club District 301-A-1 has elected its new sets of officers and directors for Lion year 2002-2003. Elected were Expedito Sebastian as president; Elias Ang, first vice president; Antonio Ching, second vice president; Robert Quintana, secretary; Antonio Diaz, treasurer; Marilou Chua, assistant secretary; Danilo Sy, assistant treasurer; Henry Fernandez, auditor; Jimmy Poon, tail twister; Solomon Chua, Lion tamer. Past president Benny Chua Beng Theng was elected membership committee chairman while Tranquilino Meris, Yu Hua Ping, Arthur Lim, Gregory Lee Wui Cheng, Frank Hsieh, Michael Ong were voted as members of the board of directors for one year.

Esteban Co Eng Kee, Albert Tsai, Jimmy Ngo, William Chua, Willy Sy and Mayor Lito Atienza Jr. were elected as directors for two years.

Immediate Past President Robert Ong said the MCLC is on its 29th year of community service and has maintained a scholarship program to poor but deserving students.
