They died or got hurt many times in the movies but this time it is for real.
A movie stuntman was killed and his colleague was seriously injured after three suspected drug addicts stabbed them the other day in Barangay Pansol, Quezon City.
Victim Renato Pipini, 28, a movie stuntman, of 16-M De Leon St., Barangay Old Balara, sustained stab wounds in the body and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Quirino Labor Hospital. His colleague, Roberto Romales, 23, also of the said address, suffered lacerations in the head and is now in critical condition at the same hospital. The killers, all armed with bladed weapons, escaped.
Investigation showed that the incident occurred at about 2:50 a.m. along a dark alley in Barangay Pansol. The victims were apparently walking home when three men suddenly stopped them. The assailants took out bladed weapons and without saying anything, repeatedly stabbed Pipini in the chest and stomach. Romales tried to run away but he was also hit in the nose and forehead.
The two collapsed to the ground and the killers immediately fled the scene. Responding policemen arrived and brought the two victims to the hospital where Pipini died at about 3:15 a.m.
