Lady of Fatima goes to Taguig

Taguig Mayor Sigfrido "Freddie" Tiñga will have a simple yet significant 37th birthday tomorrow as the image of Our Lady of Fatima, patron saint of peace from Portugal visits his municipality.
After a motorcade from Greenhills, San Juan passing through C-5, Tiñga will welcome Our Lady of Fatima at the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Anne at 3 p.m. today.
He will then lead the procession of the image from Sta. Ana to Bagong Calzada, Tomasa Subdivision, Gen. Luna street from Ususan to Tuktukan.
A welcome Mass will be held at the Municipal Quadrangle at 4 p.m. concelebrated by Fr. Roy Rosales where the mayors daughters, Kyle and Kerry will crown the Fatima.
Municipal official and employees, religious and civic groups will lead a vigil for Our Lady from 6 p.m. up to 12 midnight when a Thanksgiving Mass, concelebrated by chaplains of Fort Bonifacio, will be held for the mayors birthday.
The vigil resumes after the Mass up to 7 a.m. when a farewell Mass is scheduled. Tiñga will read a "paalam" before the image from Portugal is returned to Sto. Domingo Church.
After the Mass, Tiñga will then start his salu-salo at 8 a.m. with constituents of barangays Hagonoy, Wawa and Bambang.
Tiñga will also spend his time with his constituents as he conducts the annual "Munting Salu-Salo, Handog Pasasalamat, Lugaw ni Mayor Freddie sa Kanyang Kaarawan" successively scheduled in the 18 barangays from morning until evening.
