Taguig Mayor Sigfrido "Freddie" Tiñga and Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Cayetano have apparently buried the hatchet and have decided to work together.
In a press statement yesterday, Tiñga said he thanked Cayetano for supporting the municipal government in its goal of providing water services to residents of Sitio Niño in Western Bicutan.
Last week excavation started for the pipe-laying of water supply that will run through Champaca, Sambong and Sampaguita (formerly Veterans Road) streets.
The project will be funded by the Western Bicutan Water and Main Supply Association (WEBWASA), a cooperative led by Kagawad Loreto Añonuevo. To ensure proper structural proceedings, this P5,580,000 pipe-laying project will be placed under the supervision of Municipal Engineer Marcelo Serpajuan. "This excavation will lead to the construction of more than 1,300 linear meters of pipeline for water supply," Serpajuan said.
In support of this project, Cayetano has allocated about P1.8 million for another ongoing project that would provide for the pipe-laying of about 500 meters also in the area.
Both projects will connect with Manila Water Company Incorporateds main line along the East Service Road.
