Addict stabbed dead by drunk pa

A 37-year-old drug addict was stabbed dead the other day by his drunk father in Quezon City, after the latter refused to shell out money for his own son’s Valentine’s date.

Victim Roy Aydalla, of 68 Carlos St., Barangay Baesa, sustained a stab wound in the body and died while receiving medical treatment at the Quezon City General Hospital. His father Jose, 65, also of the same address, is now detained at the Central Police District headquarters as he awaits the necessary charges to be filed against him.

Investigation showed that the younger Aydalla tried to maul his father after Jose refused to give him money "for his date". Jose then stabbed his son once in the right side of his abdomen.

Reports showed that the incident took place at about 1 p.m., inside their residence in Barangay Baesa, Quezon City. Roy, who was high on drugs at the time, barged inside the house and tried to borrow money from his father "for his date". Jose, who was drunk, flatly turned him down and said that he might just buy drugs with it.

An enraged Roy then slapped his father and a heated argument ensued. Roy lunged towards Jose, but was unable to pin him down. The elder Aydalla then pulled out a bladed weapon and stabbed his son. Matthew Estabillo
