Sumpak kills Tondo man

Buying katol (mosquito coil) proved to be fatal to a 21-year-old man in Parola Compound, Tondo, Manila the other night.
This after the victim, Oliver Purigay, of Gate 18, Area H., Parola Compound, was gunned down while on his way to a small convenience store at about 11 p.m.
Investigation showed that Purigay was walking towards the store when the suspect, who was described by witnesses as tall, muscular and wearing a baseball cap and a white jacket, approached the victim from behind. Without warning, the suspect whipped-out a sumpak (homemade shotgun) and shot Purigay once in the head. After seeing the victim fell to the ground bloody, the suspect immediately fled the scene.
