Muntinlupa eyes more infra projects in 2002

The Muntinlupa city government led by Mayor Jaime Fresnedi has given major attention to big infrastructure projects and construction of schools for the year 2002.
In a press statement, Fresnedi said he has released the partial list of the proposed projects for this year such as the construction of a covered court and improvement of the stage at Soldiers Hills, Putatan. Construction of more covered courts at Parkhomes, Putatan; Villa Carolina in Tunasan; Fe de Mesa Elementary School in Putatan; and at Intercity Homes, Cupang.
The infrastructure works further include road concreting, drainage construction and riprapping at Bukal, Poblacion and more road concreting projects at Brotherhood Compound in Alabang, Franc street, Villa Carolina 1 Subdivision in Tunasan; Guilder street, Villa Carolina 1 subdivision, Tunasan; and at Rizal Village in Alabang.
Vic Navarro, Engineering Office chief and project implementor said roughly P35 million is the budget for the infrastructure projects.
Navarro said the city government will build five more day-care centers, a four-story, eight-classroom building at the annex of Pedro E. Diaz High School in Buli and a third floor for the Science High School.
