5 stabbing incidents reported in Makati

Five stabbing incidents were reported by the Makati City police on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The homicide section of the Makati City police reported five separate incidents where the victims’ injuries ranged from slight to serious.

The first incident took place at around 9:45 p.m. last Monday along Pili Avenue, Barangay West Rembo where 25-year-old victim Noli Tahiyam was stabbed twice in the stomach. P02 John Ramirez said Tahiyam was stabbed by an unidentified man while he was trying to intervene in a fight between his companion and a group of men.

At 11:15 p.m. P03 Rio Bucalan reported the second stabbing incident which took place at Governor Noble Street in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo.

The victim was identified as Leonardo Gamboa, 33, jobless, a resident of Governor Noble street. After being treated of his injury, Gamboa personally appeared before the Makati City police and identified his attacker as Richard Macasib, a tricycle driver.

Two hours later, on Christmas Day, Bucalan reported a third incident which occurred along M. Reyes street in Barangay Bangkal.

Victim Leopoldo Pajo, 47, jobless of Rodriguez street in Barangay Bangkal, was walking home drunk when he was suddenly attacked by an unidentified man.

The assailant stabbed Pajo in the right portion of his body before escaping. Doctors at the Ospital ng Makati declared Pajo in stable condition after treating his stab wound.

The fourth incident involved an 18-year-old student along Block 7 in Barangay West Rembo.

According to the police, victim Henry Garcia was waiting for his girlfriend along the street at around 3:30 a.m. when an unidentified man approached him and stabbed him in the chest.

Thirty minutes later at Waling Waling street in Barangay Pembo, the fifth stabbing incident was reported.

PO3 Bucalan identified the victim as Rogelio Agustine, 26, a security guard from 220 H. Luna St., Mandaluyong City.

Bucalan reported that Agustine was stabbed by an unidentified man, for still unknown reason, while he was walking along Waling Waling Street. Marvin Sy
