Drug addict arrested for raping sister

A 22-year-old drug addict was arrested yesterday for allegedly raping his younger sister inside their room in Pasig City. The suspect, Ceriano Paderna, a tricycle driver, of Tawiran Ext., barangay Santolan, did not resist arrest when men of Superintendent John Sosito, Pasig City police chief, cornered him a few hours after he sexually molested his sister.

In her statement, the 20-year-old victim said she was asleep on the upper portion of the double deck bed at around 12:30 a.m. yesterday when she felt her brother on top of her.

Paderna, who was reeking of liquor, allegedly poked a knife on her throat and started undressing her.

The victim said she pleaded to her elder brother not to push thru with his evil intentions but her pleas fell on deaf ears.

The suspect then dragged her into the bathroom where she was raped again, the victim said.

The victim said their mother failed to hear her cries for help because she was sleeping in an adjacent room. She escaped when her brother fell asleep after raping her, she added.

Police said Paderna admitted he was high on drugs when he raped his younger sister. – Non Alquitran
