Actor Joselito "Lito" Pimentel, 30, of 49 Boston st., Barangay Immaculate Concepcion, Quezon City is now in the custody of the Central Police District (CPD) Station 10 in Kamuning.
His neighbor, Dr. Norberto Uy, 47, has filed charges of alarm and scandal, grave threats, and malicious mischief against Pimentel.
Investigation showed that at around 4:30 a.m., a drunken Pimentel arrived at the townhouse compound and fumed when he saw the white Isuzu Elf van (CSH-166) owned by Uys brother, Cesar, parked in front of his unit.
Uy and his family were roused from sleep by Pimentels shouts, and before they could move the vehicle, the actor had already smashed one of its side mirrors.
Uy said he and his housemates tried to pacify the actor, whose wife was also trying to calm him down, but Pimentel suddenly rushed inside his unit and came out holding a kitchen knife.
The actor threatened Uy and the rest of his family, as they all ran inside their own unit for safety.
Nearly an hour later, police arrived to apprehend Pimentel just as the actor and his wife were about to leave on board their vehicle, Uy claimed. Police said the actor tried to resist arrest.
In a statement given to the police, however, Pimentel claimed seven people, including the doctor, who stands just a little over five feet tall, beat him up.
Pimentel has filed counter charges of physical injuries and oral defamation against Uy. Nikko Dizon
