According to PO2 Gabby Mandides, officer-on-case, over P100,000 in cash were carted away by the teenagers, all armed with caliber .45 pistols, from the PC Bodega Computer Center.
Gabs Espejo, 31, owner of the computer shop at Aurora Boulevard corner Doña Juana Street, told investigators that the incident occurred at about 3:15 p.m. Espejo said he was attending to customers when the young robbers barged into the shop and demanded the store’s earnings.
The suspects also ordered customers to hand over their cash and valuables. After collecting the loot, the robbers casually walked out of the store and boarded a passenger jeepney bound for Manila. Witnesses told police that they saw the suspects standing outside the computer shop for more than an hour before they carried out their plan.
In Mandaluyong, unidentified robbers emptied yesterday a computer store of P300,000 worth of computer hardware.
The robbery at the Counter Strike computer shop located at 403-F Barangka Drive was discovered by a worker of a nearby water station at about 7 a.m., Senior Inspector Efren Jugo, chief of the local police Criminal Investigation Division (CID) said.
The robbers took 13 CPUs worth P20,000 each and four monitors worth P10,000. Store owner Rommel Puzon, 32, of 12 Año 96 St., said he left the computer store at around 1:15 a.m. Some six hours later, a certain Sonny, noticed the door of the computer store had been forcibly opened. Sonny immediately informed the building owner, who in turn called up Puzon.
