Houseboy, woman get jail terms

A 21-year-old houseboy and a 67-year-old woman drew as much as 40 years imprisonment from Pasay City courts after they were found guilty over the weekend of rape and illegal drug possession, respectively.
Jomar Batinga was convicted of the rape of a 14-year-old canteen worker while Rufina Lovina was sentenced to reclusion perpetua for possession of almost 300 grams of shabu.
Batinga committed the rape sometime last year and was tried by Judge Lilia Lopez of Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 109. Jose Aravilla
