National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Edgar Galvante assured members of Muslim communities in Metro Manila yesterday that there will be no discrimination against them in the ongoing police crackdown against suspected terrorists.
Galvante made this assurance during yesterdays national and regional Peace and Order Councils meeting at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters Multi-Purpose Center in Camp Crame.
"We are not singling them (Muslims) out, and we have communicated this to their leaders during a recent dialogue," he said.
Galvante, however, said that police operations will continue in suspected terrorists lairs and this may include the Muslim communities in Culiat, Tandang Sora in Quezon City, Quiapo District in Manila and Maharlika Village in Taguig. Christina Mendez
