WPD station head sacked

The Manila police sub-station commander, who has jurisdiction over the area where a Mercury Drugstore has been robbed four times was relieved from his post yesterday.
Inspector Cesar Tubog of the Blumentritt-España police sub-station was relieved from his post after the Mercury Drugstore branch at the corner of Metrica and España streets lost P500,000 to eight armed robbers Sunday.
Western Police District (WPD) Sampaloc police station commander Superintendent Amador Pabustan announced the relief yesterday.
According to a police report, the robbers barged into the drugstore and disarmed the guards while their companions stayed outside to serve as lookouts. The robbery occurred despite a heightened police alert and visibility, ordered by WPD director Chief Superintendent Nicolas Pasinos. Jose Aravilla
