Atienza Metro league prexy

Manila Mayor Lito Atienza was unanimously elected the new president of the Metro Manila Mayors League during a meeting the other day at the Pasay City Hall.

Elected with Atienza were Valenzuela City Mayor Bobit Carlos as vice president, Marikina City Mayor Marides Fernando as secretary, Pasig City Mayor Soledad Fernando as treasurer and Pasay City Mayor Pewee Trinidad as spokesman.

"I am honored by your confidence in me and I accept this challenge to serve with humility. I hope that you would accord to me the support that you have given to my predecessor, former Marikina City Mayor Bayani Fernando," Atienza told his fellow mayors after being elected president, and vowed to work for the collective good of the league.
