Kilo of shabu seized in Binondo sting operation

Police anti-narcotics agents arrested two suspected drug traffickers in a drug bust operation in Binondo, Manila, Tuesday night.
The police sting operation also resulted in the seizure of one kilo of shabu from the possession of the arrested suspects, Tomaniwan Sarip alias Tony of Barangay Santisima, Sta. Cruz, Laguna and Mohammad Boriongan, of Royal Villas, Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
The two suspects were the latest to fall in the renewed Philippine National Police (PNP) campaign against illegal drugs nationwide.
PNP-Narcotics chief, Chief Superintendent Reynor Gonzales said the suspects were nabbed while selling a kilo of shabu to an undercover anti-narcotics agent in a drug deal at Dasmarinas street, Binondo, Manila at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The two suspects, are both natives of Marawi City.
Aside from shabu, police also seized the suspects car, a Toyota Revo with plate number HDN-888.
The two are now detained at the PNP-Narcotics Group detention center in Camp Crame. The police are now readying charges against them for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act or RA 6425.
Just the other day, PNP-NG operatives arrested an ex-US Army corporal and his girlfriend for possession of two kilos of shabu. The two are believed to be among big-time distributors of illegal drugs in Metro Manila.
Meanwhile, robbers broke into the Manila City Hall budget office yesterday morning and carted away the employees personal belongings.
The burglary was reported at about 6:30 a.m. by Socorro Baylosis, an employee of the budget office located at the second floor of the City Hall building.
Baylosis told police that she discovered the robbery at about 6:15 a.m. when she opened the main door of their office. Baylosis told police that when she opened the door, she saw several drawers already opened and objects were already scattered on the floor. Jaime Laude and Mike Frialde
