Cop rapped for abandoning kids

-
A Southern Police District policeman is facing dismissal from service for abandoning his children in favor of his mistresses.

Police Officer 3 Ariston Guray of the Pasay City police station is now undergoing summary dismissal proceedings before the National Police Commission (Napolcom) Inspection, Monitoring and Investigation Services after two of his eight children filed a complaint against him.

Napolcom executive officer Rogelio Pureza said he had ordered the dismissal proceedings against Guray after the cop’s daughters, Rea Quipia and Riva Guray, filed a complaint of abandonment and immorality against their father.

According to the two, their father left them in Bulan, Sorsogon in 1990 to work in Metro Manila as a policeman. Since he left, the eight siblings and their mother had not heard from the policeman again.

The complainants said they had also learned that their father had lived with Susan Grais of Matnog, Sorsogon for several years, and was now living with Gina Casiano of Samar.

The two daughters said that their father’s failure to give them financial support and parental guidance caused them to grow up in poverty and none of them were able to go to college.

Meanwhile, a tricycle drivers’ association president was gunned down by an assassin in Parañaque City Monday night.

Superintendent Ronald Estilles, Parañaque City police chief, identified the victim as Eddie Tiu, 37, married, and resident of Michael Roa street, Barangay Better Living, Parañaque.

Investigation showed Tiu was walking along Roa street at around 11 p.m. when an armed man walked out from the shadows and shot him.

Probers said Tiu’s stewardship of the Barangay Better Living Tricycle Operators and Drivers’ Association (BBLTODA) may have something to do with his killing. Rainier Allan Ronda
