Three alleged hold-up men, armed with various types of firearms and explosives, were arrested the other day in Malabon City.
Authorities identified the suspects as Marcelo Castillo, 57, of Gozon Compound, Letre Road; Adrian Rosas, 33, of 70 Sitio Tayuan, Barangay Merville, Parañaque City; and Roger Fajardo, 22, of Happy Glenn Loop, Sun Valley, Parañaque.
The Malabon City Prosecutors Office recommended a bail bond of P80,000 for Castillo who was caught with a homemade 12-gauge shotgun; P60,000 for Rosas for possession of a .38 caliber revolver with six live bullets; and P2,000 for Fajardo, who yielded a fan knife.
Also seized from the suspects were a homemade pillbox, a black belt bag, a toy gun, and a wig.
The suspects were arrested by elements of the Northern Police District-Mobile Force (NPD-MF) at around 5 p.m. at the Gozon Compound.
Police operatives were casing the area when they chanced upon Castillo, Fajardo, and Roxas, who were suspiciously walking around, said Superintendent Pedro Ramos, NPD-MF commander.
During interrogation, the suspects admitted that they were hold-up men looking for possible victims in the area.
Ramos said that to conceal their identities, the suspects wore wigs when they rob their victims.
