Homicide investigators identified the suspect as Police Officer 1 Manuel Garcia, 25, of Kahilum 1, Pandacan, Manila. He is now detained in Camp Crame.
Police said the victim, Raquel Kenniker, 32, died from two gunshots wounds in the left breast. The suspect fled after the incident.
According to Western Police District (WPD) investigator SPO1 Raul Olavarrio, the suspect barged into the room of the victim, who was then sleeping, around 12:40 a.m. and confronted her about an alleged affair with another man.
A heated argument then ensued between the suspect and the victim. At the height of their argument, the suspect reportedly took out his 9mm service pistol and shot the victim twice at close range.

During the heated argument, the suspect reportedly took out his caliber .38 service pistol and shot the victim in the abdomen.
Bystanders later caught the suspect as he was about to escape and brought him to the police station.
