Suspicious trader kills own friend in Las Piñas

-
A 33-year-old businessman was shot to death by his friend who suspected him of having an affair with his wife during a drinking spree in Las Piñas City the other day.

Police Officer 3 Joel Cambi, investigator-on-case, identified the victim as Ramil "Bong" Loganog, a resident of Casimiro Town Homes, in Barangay Pulang Lupa, Las Piñas City.

Loganog succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the head and body while being rushed to the Las Piñas Doctor’s Hospital.

The suspect, who is now being hunted by authorities, was identified as Rene Aldabe, 39, employee, and resident of Block 2, Lot 18-B, Rosendo street, St. Josephine’s Subdivision, also in Pulang-Lupa.

Investigation showed the incident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. in front of the suspect’s house where the two friends were engaged in a one-on-one drinking spree.

Probers said Aldabe had apparently invited Loganog to drink and waited when Loganog was already intoxicated before he confronted Loganog about an alleged affair between him and his wife.

Then, Aldabe pulled out a caliber .45 pistol and repeatedly fired at the surprised Loganog.

Aldabe escaped right after the incident while his neighbors rushed Loganog to the hospital.

Probers said they believed Loganog and Aldabe had also sniffed "shabu" during their drinking bout as "shabu" paraphernalia was recovered on the table after the incident. – Rainier Allan Ronda
