Caloocan beauty queen abducted by lesbian fan?

-
The reigning Mutya ng Caloocan 2001 has been reported missing by her relatives who believe that she was abducted by a lesbian admirer.

Police records showed that the victim, Sheena Marie Gumabon, 16, of San Lorenzo Ruiz Street corner St. James Street, Villanova Subdivision, Novaliches, Quezon City has been reported missing since July 17.

Authorities are now conducting a manhunt for the suspect identified as Lea Reyes, 28, a resident of Novaliches.

Investigation showed that Gumabon, a freshman pharmacy student at the Manila Central University (MCU) was last seen at around 7 a.m. behind Ernesto’s Videoke in Novabayan on her way to school.

Gumabon, who was crowned Mutya ng Caloocan during the city’s 39th Foundation Day last February, was also allegedly abducted by Reyes in December last year.

Gumabon’s mother, Herminia, told police that Reyes had been pursuing her daughter and on Dec. 22, 2000, allegedly convinced the teenager to runaway from home.

Reyes reportedly brought Gumabon to an apartelle in Lagro and visited the victim every night. However, a homesick Gumabon escaped on Dec. 25 and called up her mother. An aunt then picked her up at a fastfood restaurant in Fairview.

Herminia added that her daughter had also sought the help of Hero Baustista, younger brother of Quezon City Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista and reportedly an ardent suitor of Sheena.

Herminia also told police that the family has no idea if Sheena and Reyes had renewed their contact with each other, leading them to believe that the victim had been kidnapped.

Police gathered that Reyes lives near the videoke bar where the victim was last seen. Gumabon is an aspiring actress who has appeared in several local sitcoms. Nikko Dizon
