A 25-year-old woman was arrested after she tried to sneak in "shabu" hidden in a stick of cigarette to her husband detained in the Pasay City Jail Wednesday night.
Pasay City Jail Warren Senior Inspector Augusto Retumban, identified the suspect as Rosario Halili, married, of 2940 Apelo Cruz St., Pasay City.
Halili was arrested by Jail Officer 1 Joel Cabrera whom she approached outside the jail and requested that he give her husband a package containing foodstuff, soap and a pack of cigarettes at around 10:30 p.m.
His suspicion already aroused, Cabrera thoroughly checked the pack of cigarettes, and in closely inspecting one stick of cigarette, discovered that a small sachet containing "shabu" was inside its rolled paper wrapper.
