"Hot shipment" nasabat sa NAIA

Nasabat kahapon ng mga nakaalertong ahente ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport ang iba’t ibang uri ng pharmaceutical shipment na tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng P10 milyon na tinangka umanong ipuslit na may "expired permits" mula sa Bureau of Foods and Drugs (BFAD).

Batay sa ulat na nakalap mula kay Fernandino Tuason, hepe ng CIIS sa premier airport, ang naturang kargamento ay pinigil batay sa "deregatory information" na tangkang ipuslit sa PSI warehouse na may pasong certificate of product registration (CPR) na inisyu ng BFAD.

Sinabi ni Tuason na ang mga produktong medisina ay nasasakupan ng tinurang "selected greenlane" sa tanggapan ng ASYCUDA Encoding Center na hindi kailangang pumasailalim sa anumang pagsusuri ng mga duty Customs examiner.

Ang hot shipment na tumitimbang ng 420 kilos ay nasabat nina Oscar Ablan, CIIS Asst. Chief at concurrent operations officer, senior officer Victor Asuncion, team leader at intelligence officer Johnny Martinez. (Ulat ni Butch Quejada)
