P4-M equipment donated for La Mesa reforestation

-
Ayala Foundation Inc. recently assisted in turning over almost P4 million worth of equipment solicited from the Japanese government to the La Mesa Reforestation Project. The equipment will be helpful in reforesting and protecting the La Mesa Watershed, an important first step in ensuring that Metro Manila’s 12 million residents’ water needs are met.

The La Mesa Reforestation Project is a joint project of Bantay Kalikasan of ABS-CBN Foundation, Maynilad Water Services Inc., Manila Water Company, and the Ayala Group of Companies. Present during the turnover were Fernando Zobel de Ayala, co-vice chairman of Ayala Foundation, Gina Lopez, managing director of ABS-CBN Foundation, and Takashi Hoshiyama, counselor for economic affairs, Japanese Embassy.

Vehicles, backpack sprayers, and handheld radios were among the donations turned over by the Ayala Foundation for the project.
