3 men abduct businessman in Tondo area

A Filipino-Chinese male was reportedly abducted by three armed men in Tondo, Manila, early morning yesterday.
Police reports identified the victim as Joseph Yao, of 741 Antonio Rivera St., Tondo.
Reports said that Yao was standing in front of the barangay hall of Barangay 237 Zone 22 at about 6:30 a.m. when a yellow green Mitsubishi Lancer with plate number CDU-770 suddenly appeared.
According to reports, three armed men alighted from the car and dragged Yao inside before the car sped off towards Jose Abad Santos street. Police are still investigating the incident.
Earlier in Tondo, four persons, including three policemen, were wounded in a shootout Wednesday night.
Reports said the incident happened at about 11:25 p.m. on Dandan street corner F. Varona street and involved two policemen of the Ermita police station, six Philippine National Police-Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) personnel assigned at the Moriones, Tondo police station and a civilian.
