1 more dies in Caloocan frat war

Another teener from Barangay Bagong Silang died from stab wounds yesterday as rival homegrown fraternities battled for turf supremacy in Caloocan City.

PO3 Elvis Imperial, said Bernie Magdaraog alias ‘Hapon’, 16, of Phase 9, Package 5, Block 33, Lot 2, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, was stabbed by suspects Roger Cortes, 18, of Phase 7, Package 5, Bagong Silang and a certain "Zaldy" as he was walking along a pathway between Block 7 and Block 6 in the congested neighborhood of Bagong Silang.

Magdaraog was a member of the "True Fighter" fraternity while the suspects belonged to the rival "R.I.P. Tribe" another local organization.

Magdaraog sustained at least two stab wounds in the left side of his back. The victim was taken to the Jose Rodriguez Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by attending physician, Dr. Melissa Palugod. – Jerry Botial
