A 30-year-old drug store owner was gunned down by a group of armed men who robbed his store of P100,000 in cash in Taguig last Sunday night.

The victim, identified by police as Gilbert Singco, married, native of Cotabato City, and resident of Block 36, Lot 4342, Barangay Central Bicutan, Taguig, succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head while being rushed to the San Juan de Dios Hospital.

Investigators are still conducting follow-up investigation on the incident that occurred at around 6:20 p.m. at the victim’s Kristine Ian Drug Store located along Maharlika Road, Barangay Upper Bicutan.

It was learned that a group of armed men broke into the store and, at gunpoint, ordered Singco to hand over all the money. Despite following the robbers’ order, one of the robbers walked up to the victim and shot him in the head.
