Driver dies in knife duel

A 30-year old family driver was stabbed dead allegedly by a drunken neighbor at the height of a drinking spree in Quezon City on Wednesday night.
Police identified the victim as Noli Salibio, a resident of 74 Scout Ramos st., Baranga Sacred Heart, Quezon City. He died while being taken to the East Avenue Medical Center due to 11 stab wounds in the body.
Investigators said the suspect, Florante Domingo, a neighbor of the victim, fled after the stabbing incident which took place at around 9:55 p.m. in front of Salibios house.
Probers said the Salibio and Domingo were having a drinking bout with their friends when the two had an argument. Witnesses told police investigators that the victim and the suspect refused to be pacified and grabbed knives from the table. They reportedly engaged in a knife duel, until bloodied Salibio fell to the ground.
Operatives of the Quezon City police are now hunting down Domingo. Cecille Suerte Felipe
