Six suspected female commercial sex workers as well as their pimp, a 26-year-old man, are now behind bars after police caught them offering their services in Quezon City shortly after midnight yesterday.
The Central Police District-Criminal Investigation Unit (CPD-CIU) said the arrest took place at around 12:30 a.m. in front of the Maalikaya Health Club along Quezon Avenue. The women, who are all in their 20s, were seen loitering in front of the establishment, clad in extremely short shorts and body fit shirts, with heavily made up faces.
They were apprehended by CIU operatives after their alleged pimp, Angelo de Guzman, tried to offer one of the women’s services to a cop who posed as a male customer. – Nikko Dizon
