Boys bodies fished out of Pasig River in Manila

The bodies of two unidentified boys, possibly drowning victims, were found separately floating in the Pasig River in Binondo and Tondo, Manila.
According to reports reaching the Homicide Section of the Western Police District, the first to be found was a boy about 15 years old, wearing a white T-shirt and "Calvin Klein" briefs.
Police said the unidentified boy was found by Petty Officer 1 Carlito Majaducon, a crew member of the presidential yacht Ang Pangulo, at about 5:40 a.m. as it was docked at the South Harbor near Del Pan, Tondo.
According to police, the body was fished from the river by crew members of the Ang Pangulo as it drifted near the ship. The boys body was later turned-over to the Manila Police for investigation.
At about 7 a.m., the lifeless body of a baby boy was found floating in the river near the Muelle dela Industria in front of the SCS Building.
Police said the baby boy was wearing a white T-shirt and diapers when found.
According to probers, the baby boy was probably already dead when he was thrown into the river.
Meanwhile, residents of Sta. Cruz, Manila found a male fetus stashed inside a trash bin yesterday morning.
Police reports said the fetus, about six months old, was stuffed inside a small cardboard box before it was placed inside the trash bin. Detectives theorize that the fetus was the victim of an abortionist.
Homicide detectives of the Western Police District are now investigating the three cases.
In Quezon City, a 20-year-old man was shot dead when he tried to fight it out with two men who grabbed his mobile phone Friday night.
The fatality was identified as Richard Omentado, a resident of Tomas Morato street, Barangay Kamuning, Quezon City. He died from a gunshot wound in the body while being rushed to a nearby hospital .
Police said Omentados two attackers, both described as teenage boys, escaped after the incident on Timog Avenue, Barangay Kamuning, Quezon City.
Investigation showed that Omentado was on board a passenger jeepney on his way home when one of the suspects tried to grab his cellphone. Omentado, who was with his two siblings and girlfriend, put up a fight.
During the commotion, the second suspect pulled out a pistol and shot the victim, who fell to the vehicles floor bleeding.
