Santos bats for more local jobs

PDP-Laban-Kaibigan mayoralty bet Ricardo "Ding" Santos said he will advocate the implementation of a "Pasayeño First" policy under which Pasay residents will get priority in employment opportunities.
Santos issued the statement in a talk with members of the Pasay City United Youth, a movement of young out-of-school youth and students advocating reforms in the city. He lamented the fact that more than 75,000 Pasay City residents are unemployed while thousands of non-Pasay residents are employed in most of the citys business establishments.
He noted that to adopt the policy, the city administration must first provide the necessary conditions conducive to investments in the city.
While he admitted that the city has little land left to accommodate new investments, Santos said a more equitable distribution of land according to the Comprehensive Land and Building Use Plan could benefit Pasays youth. Rainier Allan Ronda
