Drunk hits drunk

An intoxicated man driving his motorcycle was seriously injured when he was tossed into the air and hit the pavement after hitting another drunk in Caloocan City Friday night.
Police said Ramil Viana, a 34-year-old Philippine Postal Corp. employee and a resident of 12 Don Jose St., Caloocan suffered head and body injuries. Viana was taken to the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center together with Oscar Ramirez, 30, single, of 454 A. Mabini St., Caloocan, who was also drunk, whom he had hit.
The accident happened at around 11:35 p.m. in front of the Caloocan City General Hospital along A. Mabini St.
Reports said Viana was heading towards Sangandaan when he sideswiped Ramires, who was on his way home from a drinking spree. Vianas blue Yamaha had no license plates but is registered under the Philippine Postal Corp. Police said Viana was not wearing a helmet. Nikko Dizon
